On January 24th in 1848, James Marshall triggered the California Gold Rush when he uncovered a handful of shiny pebbles while building a lumber mill in Coloma, California. Subsequently, hundreds of thousands of people, from all over the globe, suffered great hardship to make their way by land and sea to seek their own fortunes.

We guitarists are miners in our own rights. We work hard and dig deep to discover even the smallest grains of knowledge. But today you’ll want to record the date and put a big X on the map because today you’ve discovered the mother of mother lodes inside a different kind of factory - Corey Congilio’s Texas Blues Rhythm Factory.

Grab your guitar and step inside the factory; you’ll find yourself in good company — Stevie Ray Vaughan, Lightin' Hopkins, Doyle Bramhall II, Jimmie Vaughan, Albert Collins, Freddie King, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Billy Gibbons, Chris Duarte, Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown and many other giants of Texas Blues guitar have inspired the rhythm guitar treasures found within.

The Texas Blues Rhythm Factory is organized into three sections. In the first section, Corey guides you through a comprehensive vocabulary of Texas Blues rhythm patterns, riffs, fills, vamps, ornamentations and chord voicings. You’ll learn them by playing your way through 40 Texas Blues rhythm guitar studies across a variety of grooves: 10 Shuffles,10 Boogies,10 Funky Blues, 10 Slow Blues and 10 Minor Blues.

Corey demonstrates the rhythmic elements and then breaks them down note-for-note, techniques-by-technique. You’ll master them by first playing along with Corey’s video demonstration and then playing them yourself over the supplied practice rhythm tracks.

In the second section, Corey constructs full-blown Texas Blues progressions by assembling various elements of the vocabulary from the first section. Corey teaches you how to take any element and tweak its rhythmic feel, transpose its key, tweak its tempo and connect elements to one another to create fresh and engaging rhythm guitar parts.

All together you’ll construct ten 12-bar progressions, two variations for each of the five styles (2 Shuffles, 2 Boogies, 2 Funky Blues, 2 Slow Blues and 2 Minor Blues).

In the final and third section of the course, Corey simulates a real-world jam where you solo over Corey’s rhythm parts and then comp under Corey’s solos (check out Corey’s Solo Factory: Texas Blues). Five Texas Blues jams in all.

Everything is tabbed and notated, Guitar Pro files are included, plus you'll get all of the rhythm tracks to practice with on your own.
