In the relatively small fields of Media and Entertainment, your reputation is critical. In this course Alex Beddows tackles the issues facing Mid-Level artists working in the Industry. He discusses some of the tougher issues facing a working artist, such as how to be present and assist junior artists coming up, how to set your sights on the next level of your growth, and addresses critical topics such as avoiding toxic behavior, humbling yourself, and how to ask for what you need…including a raise!

Part 4 – Senior Artist

Course Description

In this course Alex Beddows tackles the issues facing Senior Artists working in the Industry. He discusses some of the tougher issues facing artists in a leadership role, such as being the dependable rock that your team can count on, avoiding toxic behavior, and not “chasing” leadership. He also addresses how to take time to look back at where you came from and give back to the community, as well as taking time to sit back and enjoy life.

In this final part of a three-part series Clinton discusses landing a first job. He covers some of the things to know about contract and salary negotiations, moving to a new location, and what to expect in the first few days.
