ORIGINS OF THUNDER

The seeds of CRYSTAL DAGGERS emerged in the mid-2000s when underground hip hop producers began adding dubstep, IDM, and techno elements to their music. At the same time, but separately, electronic music producers began spicing up their tracks with hip hop inflections. Somewhere near the dawn of the new decade, this trend took shape as a music of its own. CRYSTAL DAGGERS captures the lifespan of this music with sounds and patterns that run until the present day.

CRYSTAL DAGGERS was created in association with CAPSUN/Loopmasters.

BREAKING THROUGH THE UNDERGROUND

Mainstream electronic meets underground hip-hop in CRYSTAL DAGGERS. Grimy basses bend and shift through the dance floor, while airy, effected synths scatter through the air. ADDED BATTERY 4.1 Kits

Following the curation of the original MASCHINE kits, BATTERY 4.1 kits were created from the unprocessed samples. Sounds within a kit produced by MASSIVE, MONARK, REAKTOR PRISM or a MASCHINE Drum Synth were resampled tor use in BATTERY 4.1. Several specially curated kits were also created to BATTERY 4.1, such as all kicks within an expansion.

ADDED Audo Loops

Exported from individual MASCHINE kit patterns, consisting of single elements and combinations, these audio loops are specially curated to provide authentic building blocks for the music genre .
