Xara Designer本来是Corel公司的产品(相当于简化版的CorelDraw)，后来独立开发，功能越来越完善。该软件操作方式和CorelDraw基本一致。

操作简单、功能非常强大，基本相当于Illustrator和Photoshop精彩结合体。

Xara Designer 是矢量图形软件，其操作方式和CorelDRAW类似，有些快捷键又和Illustrator一样，功能虽不比大型矢量软件齐全，但常用工具一样不差，有些非常好的功能是CorelDRAW和Illustrator所没有的。

（不过，XARA网站上评价称Xara Designer在处理上速度illustrator的十倍!夸张了点，但速度快的确是实情）。

Xara Designer可以打开现有的多数图像文档，psd,ai等当然不在话下。Xara Designer可以将您的文件保存为pdf，psd，乃至flash！还可以打开并编辑pdf。

如果CorelDRAW相当于3DMAX、Adobe Illustrator相当于MAYA的话，此软件相当于矢量软件里的C4D、modo...

操作习惯类似CorelDRAW（没有CorelDRAW基础的就别用了）UI、网页、平面排版、3D文字（整合了Xara3D的功能）、图像处理（包含PS里的全景拼接、镜头校正、内容识别比例等高级功能），内置eye candy等PS外挂滤镜！强大的羽化。。。一言难尽！！！
