Improve communication skills and take control of your conversations; use your body, language and emotions effectively!
Communication is about education and learning. Choosing to learn is critical because of the shifts that occur. When we learn, we change. And we change because of the learning and results we obtained through our experiences.
I believe there's a process of learning which involves other human beings. I believe that learning comes through interaction with others. Each of us has a different understanding of what a conversation is. The premise of this course is to mention that conversation is not about talking.
This course is about creating understanding and setting a context for learning by understanding the difference between "learning" and "knowing."
What does learning mean to you?
What does knowing into you?
How are they the same?
How are they different?
The nature of this course explores conversation. The way we can become effective communicators is to learn what it is were actually saying. When we know what were saying then we understand how we see the world. To put it another way: through the understanding of language and how we see the world we can choose to engage in full, rich, satisfying conversations with others.
When we learn how to improve our communication skills through the speech acts, we become skilled at conversation.
