The plot consists of several different threads that end up tying together nicely. A case of mistaken identity on Halloween night leads a group of friends to think an unconscious Spider-Man is their passed-out friend Ronnie, while the reluctant new supervillain Fumes and his evil comrades capture the real Ronnie – thinking he’s Spider-Man. From there, chaos and hilarity ensue. There are more punchlines than actual punches, and when a comic’s writers are SNL veterans, that’s not a bad thing at all.
