History of War
is a magazine dedicated to the armed conflicts that have been fought over the millennia. Written by renowned historians and authors, the magazine contains features, reviews and analysis covering war through the ages.
On 1 July, 1916, the bloodiest campaign of the Great War began with over 57,000 British casualties: the Battle of the Somme. This year marks the centenary of the battle, and History of War issue 30 adds its own commemoration with 50 pages of expert interviews, analysis of the battlefield and the real stories of the soldiers who fought and died.
