Heavily influenced by the likes of Leon Russell, Hank Williams Jr and Merle Haggard, Doc Elliots’ unique and distinctive sound caught the attention of Texas legend Kinky Friedman, who promptly signed the 22 year-old to his label, Echo Hill Records, in August of 2018. Leaving his hometown of Oceanside California, Elliot hit the road in his ’72 purple Greyhound bus and landed deep in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. A year later, and with 8 tunes of original music and 2 covers (Nautical Wheelers and Willin’ Feat. Kinky Friedman), Echo Hill Records presents ‘The Rowdy Kind’. The Doc brought the goods!
