Piano lessons at the Hamburg Conservatory led him to delve into many musical genres from classical to jazz.

During his high school years, he continued to study piano and saxophone.

Upon graduation, he attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, studying jazz piano and composition.

At this point he also discovered his love for film scoring.

After college, Tessloff moved to Los Angeles where he got to work on films such as „The Cooler“, „Don’t say a word“, „The Majestic“ and „K-19: The Widowmaker“ as an arranger, studio musician and composer.

At that time, he also met and worked for Academy Award nominated composer Mark Isham.

After moving back to his native Germany, Tessloff began working with acclaimed directors and producers such as Matti Geschonneck, Uli Edel and Bernd Eichinger, scoring films in many different genres.

Together with Peter Hinderthür, Tessloff scored the Academy Award nominated Bernd Eichinger Production „The Baader Meinhof Complex“ in 2008.
