DISCOVER | December/01Th/2018 | 879MBHere the third and last Ambient texturizing library, PROFUNDO.
The trilogy started with MOON and was followed by NEBULAE.
PROFUNDO is an A.
T.
S.
(Aleatory Texturizing Synthesizer) for Kontakt by Native Instruments.
It contains six layers, each one with four different samples to create a texturized sound controlled by a random pitch engine, generating aleatory harmonies in a costant evolving fashion.
The moods are quite gloomy and dark, so perfect for Cinematic, Dark Ambient, Industrial and other musical genres related.
The Aleatory principle in music started in the beginning of 1950 at the Darmstadt International Summer Courses for New Music, though examples could be found earlier in the late 15th century and first decade of 1900.
From 1957 composers as Pierre Boulez and Stockhausen used that principle in some works.
We could say that John Cage used a kind of aleatory principle that must be called better indeterminate music.
