由西班牙导演胡安·安东尼奥·巴亚纳所执导的另类儿童魔幻故事片《怪物召唤》于近日曝光了影片的片段。该片段发生在夜晚，康纳因为做梦而无法入眠。这个时候，隐藏在古树中的恶魔苏醒，并现身。整个恶魔出现的情节被事无巨细地表现了出来。最后，恶魔对着康纳说：“我就是要来找你的，康纳”。随后，片段戛然而止。

从这一支片段来看，整部影片在恐怖气息之余，还有很多童话色彩。恶魔的出现，并没有让人感觉到毛骨悚然。《怪物召唤》所讲述的，是一个有着黑暗气息的故事。该片根据派崔克·奈斯的同名儿童奇幻小说改编，故事的主角是叫做康纳的少年，在妈妈开始接受化疗之后，他每天晚上都做噩梦。有一天家里出现了一个不速之客，拥有古老气息的恶魔对康纳说它是由他召唤而来，它要以三个故事交换一个康纳自己真实的故事。康纳并不害怕恶魔，因为他在面对的事——最心爱的妈妈正一步步走向死亡，这是更加恐怖的事情。夜晚让康纳感觉诡异，而他白天的生活也十分难熬。

Ancient, wild, and relentless, the Monster guides Conor on a journey of courage, faith, and truth. Toby Kebbell plays Conor's father, and Liam Neeson stars in performance-capture and voiceover as the nocturnally visiting Monster of the title.
