OOT IrayPair Hair Shader for DAZ Studio Iray

When rendering with DAZ Studio Iray you most probably experienced issues with hair. You possibly also noticed that the issue appears stronger on one hair and less on another. Especially when it comes to transmaps not being displayed properly and looking washed out, thin and way too soft. This depends on how the transmap is created.

When creating a hair product I always prefer to create very soft transmaps that blend each layer of hair smoothly. Depending on the modelling technique and the desired look this varies from content creator to content creator.

I created this product to help you getting your hair Iray-ready with just a few clicks. The OOT IrayPair Hair Shaders work on almost ANY hair you have in your library. This can be very old hair products, even Poser-native, or recent hair products. This works on conforming hair and parented prop-hair. This works on female hair and male hair. The only thing the hair needs to fulfill is to be UV-mapped in a straight, square format. However, 95 % of all hair products should be created in this method. Also, these shaders were meant to be used with layered hair models, meaning the model is created of several small layered strands. *This hairshader product is not meant to be used with Fibermesh hair.

Using this product is easy. Simply load your hair, apply an original hairtexture, select the materialzones you want to be changed and apply the OOT IrayPair Hair Shader. You have the option to keep the original hairtexture or use one of the included 25 high quality 4k high resolution hairtextures and optimized materialsettings.

The OOT IrayPair Hair Shader is built to catch your scene's lighting and creates shine and gloss all on its own without pre-painted highlights on a texture. These shaders work well in bright scenes, dark scenes, outdoor scenes etc.
