In Maya 2011: Creating Natural Environments, author Aaron F. Aaron F. Ross

An accomplished educator, artist, and author, Aaron F. Ross has taught 3D graphics at the Art Institute of California-San Francisco since 1999. He became an Autodesk Certified Instructor for Maya in 2008, and teaches accelerated professional development courses at the Bay Area Video Coalition, where he created the current Maya curriculum. Aaron holds a Bachelor of Arts from The Art Institute of Chicago and a Master of Fine Arts from CalArts School of Film/Video. His commercial video and animation work has been broadcast on several major TV networks, including CNN and Fox. As an independent artist, Aaron creates abstract animation, which has been screened at prestigious festivals and venues such as SIGGRAPH, ISEA, and the Exploratorium. In addition to writing or co-writing three books on 3ds Max, Aaron runs a training web site for 3D artists, digitalartsguild.com.
