经过一年多的制作，Blender 基金会代号“榴莲”开放影片计划 Sintel 即将在荷兰电影节上进行首次公映。

没有任何好莱坞动画工作室参，主要特点是完全使用免费开源的自由软件创作。比如，用 Blender 进行3D图形、合成和视频编辑任务，用GIMP和Inkscape作图和绘画，在OpenEXR中渲染输出，用Python写脚本，在SVN中储存数据等等。本教程内包含制作这部电影的 几乎所有素材 以及电影的创意来源的各个方面。

Blender 基金会上一个开放影片计划 Big Buck Bunny 收到好评，这一次的 Sintel 一改前作轻松搞笑的风格，将为观众展现：
